I have used R & D walking for nearly 2 years for my GSD. He came to me as a rescue, who was quite dog reactive when out walking. Both Sarah & John have worked hard walking him weekly with a minimum of 3 other dogs to help with his socialization and walking. R & D give updates when out walking him, showing his improvements with them when both on the lead and off when out with a pack. They are amazing and I highly recommend them.

Harley & Harry

We have had the good fortune of using R and D walking service for the last five years or so. Harry and Harley absolutely love John and Sarah. You only have to witness the greeting both of them receive when they collect the boys to know that our Doodles feel safe, secure and loved. We have received photos of the boys enjoying their walks and it is a joy to see them out and about when our working pattern doesn't allow us to exercise them. R and D offer a trustworthy, reliable, flexible and professional service and I can't recommend them enough.

Merlin

We got our first puppy in August 2018 and soon started to consider what to do with him for our planned Summer 2019 holiday. R & D Dog Walking were recommended to us through a friend as a good home for your dog to stay as opposed to a kennel environment. Sarah met our dog with some of hers for a communal walk as an initial test to see if our dog got on OK with theirs. That went well and a free introductory overnight stay was planned. However, our puppy was just too excited to settle with other dogs and had to come home. The pandemic then happened; our holidays were cancelled. Our dog has now matured (a bit!) and settled much better and has had several successful day visits and we hope to try another overnight soon, as we also hope to go abroad this year. John and Sarah treat your dog as their own, with love care and attention and send regular updates and we are very happy to recommend them to look after your dog.

Fergus

Sarah and John walk Fergus every Friday and now he loves it. It's like he knows when the door goes that it's Sarah coming to get him as he gets so excited. At first, he was a little nervous, but we've kept up the walks to get him used to other people and dogs, since he's been attached to us during lock down. They go on a nice long walk for over an hour and he always comes back worn out after playing. I normally get photos sent over of him playing with the other dogs on the walk and he always looks like he's having the best time. I would highly recommend their services as they've been brilliant and will be using them for other services too.

Wilf

We’ve been using R&D’s dog walking, home stays and day care services for the last six years. All of our dogs, including rescues and very nervous dogs, have loved spending time with Sarah and John. We consider them to be South Nottingham’s own ‘Dog Whisperers’

Merlin

John and Sarah have been walking Merlin our Springadour since he was a puppy. They have endless patience and a true understanding of dogs. I have the utmost confidence in their care of Merlin. Merlin adores them both and the lovely walks he’s taken on with his doggy friends. They have certainly helped with his socialisation and the usual puppy behaviour. I can’t recommend them high enough x

Tuco & Albus

We would absolutely recommend using Sarah and John. Our dogs love their walks with them and we feel confident that they will be well looked after when they’re out. Whether it is a group walk or just our dogs, they are in good hands and come back ready for a good sleep.

I would recommend these guys to anyone, my Harley loves her R & D walks, they genuinely care about the dogs in their care and keep you informed and send you photos of your precious boy or girl, so nice to see a smile on Harley’s face.

My dog, Harvey, absolutely loves staying with John and Sarah and their lovely dogs. It’s like a home from home and it means I can go away without any worries as I know Harvey is happy and very well cared for. The regular pictures and messages of him are a real bonus. After the trials and tribulations of trying to find the perfect 'holiday home' for our wonderfully kind and sensitive Darcy dog. We finally found John and Sarah at R & D Dog Walking. I cannot recommend highly enough this wonderful home for your dogs to stay in. I felt very confident and happy knowing that Darcy was going to have a fabulous time with her new (and many) friends! Bilbo & Barney

Amazing service. Sarah and John really made sure Bilbo (11-year-old Jack Russell)and Barney (7-month-old working cocker) were settled and happy before they agreed to have them for a last-minute weekend visit. They offered a free trial sleep over and meet and greet walk to ensure our dogs were happy in their home and as a visitor to their amazing pack of labs. Humphry, Skye and Ruby are wonderful Labradors and they really create a lovely calm and relax atmosphere which our dogs certainly picked up on settling in right away. Sarah provided us with lots of updates which put our mind at ease and it was lovely to see the dogs enjoying their time there. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sarah and John to anybody that want their dogs professionally and lovingly looked after.

Fantastic service offered by lovely people. My two girls needed to stay with R & D for a slightly extended period due to a house move. I got regular updates, including photos, which was very reassuring since it just felt strange them not being around. The dogs came home happy, well exercised and properly nourished. Our two dogs are so excited to meet John twice a week that they can hardly stand! The trial before accepting your dog before boarding is genius. To introduce myself, my name is Sarah and I live on my own with my 7 month old absolutely stunning Sproodle Rocco!
Rocco unfortunately was born into a pandemic and with the lack of socialising and people being unable to come into my house, he has a real issue with people and in particular men. But after R and D walking have come into our lives, it has made a real difference, in such a short amount of time.
They have taken time to build a relationship with Rocco, the love they have for dogs is so apparent the minute I met them it was so clear and genuine to see.
Love and care for your pet is so important for a fantastic relationship and to encourage such a nervous dog with people such as my own.
John and Rocco’s relationship has changed so quickly in such a short amount of time because they know dogs and the right way to go about any difficult situation.
